Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 14, 2026
1. Overview
Stew.io ("Platform," "we," "us") is a community-based sim racing incident review system where users upload incident clips via YouTube links, participate in community voting on fault determination, and view consensus verdicts. Authentication is managed exclusively via Discord or Google OAuth through Supabase.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Stew.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use immediately. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms.
3. Eligibility & Registration
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use Stew.io. EU residents must be 16 years old or have parental consent. Users under the required age may not create an account.
Authentication: Stew.io uses Discord and Google OAuth for authentication only. We do not store passwords. Your login credentials are managed by Discord, Google, and Supabase, and you agree to their respective Privacy Policies.
Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all activity conducted through your account. You must not share your login credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact contact.stew.io@gmail.com immediately.
In-Game Name: You may optionally register a driver in-game name, which may be your real name if that is the name you use during sim racing. This name will be publicly visible on your profile and voting history.
4. User Content & Incident Submissions
4.1 YouTube Video Links
You may submit YouTube video links to incident clips you either participated in or have explicit permission to review. By submitting a YouTube link, you warrant that:
- You own the content, have rights to the content, or have obtained permission from all affected parties.
- The content does not violate YouTube's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- The content complies with the terms of service of the relevant sim racing game (iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, Gran Turismo 7, RaceRoom, Automobilista 2, rFactor 2).
- The incident occurred in an online multiplayer race and is relevant to sim racing stewarding.
You grant Stew.io a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, analyze, and link to the video for community review purposes for the duration your account is active.
4.2 Prohibited Content
Do not submit:
- Private or confidential footage without the explicit written consent of all drivers involved.
- Content that violates YouTube's Community Guidelines.
- Content that violates any sim racing game's Terms of Service.
- Defamatory, harassing, abusive, or threatening content targeting individuals.
- Deepfakes, AI-generated incident clips, or manipulated footage.
- Content that is offensive, discriminatory, or hateful.
- Content unrelated to sim racing incidents.
4.3 Content Removal & Suspension
Stew.io reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice. Repeated violations of content policies will result in account suspension or permanent termination. Users have the right to appeal content removal decisions by contacting contact.stew.io@gmail.com within 14 days.
5. Community Stewarding & Voting
5.1 Verdicts & Consensus
Community votes are non-binding opinions designed to surface consensus on incident fault determination. An 80% community consensus threshold determines verdicts displayed on the Platform.
Important: Verdicts on Stew.io are advisory only and do not automatically apply to official league standings, safety ratings, or official penalties. Each sim racing league maintains its own official stewarding process. Contact your league stewards for official rulings and enforcement.
5.2 Voting Standards & Conduct
You agree to vote in good faith based on motorsport racing principles and rules, not personal disputes, bias, or hostility toward drivers. You agree not to:
- Vote manipulate through coordinated multi-accounting, vote brigading, or bot voting.
- Harass, target, or defame drivers in incident comments or voting.
- Post spam, misinformation, or off-topic content.
- Use Stew.io to circumvent official league penalties or steward decisions.
- Abuse the voting system to target specific drivers or teams.
5.3 Dispute Resolution
Verdicts are determined by community consensus and are not binding. Stew.io does not adjudicate disputes, enforce penalties, or manage disputes between drivers and leagues. If you disagree with a community verdict, you may:
- Appeal to your league's official stewards.
- Comment respectfully on the incident with additional context.
- Contact contact.stew.io@gmail.com if you believe the verdict violates these Terms.
